Strategy and Planning Strategic planning is an essential skill for marketing managers, and empowers them to make informed decisions, optimise resources, and drive the company towards its goals in a competitive and dynamic market environment. The plan itself ensures that all marketing employees work together to achieve a common goal. This module aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in planning marketing at a strategic level, as well as developing an overall strategic marketing plan, students will be able to adapt their use of planning frameworks and associated models to create a range of specific plans that integrate to deliver and support that plan at a strategic level. 
Commercial Intelligence 

Data underpins marketing excellence. Understanding how to interpret and apply the data to support strategic commercial decisions is critical in today’s competitive business landscape. 

This course delves into three key areas to understand how to apply and interpret commercial and marketing campaign data to deliver strategic marketing success. The course will allow students to emerge equipped with a deeper comprehension of the key financial metrics to unlock insights, build strategic budgets, optimise channel performance, and deliver ROI. 

Customer Journeys OptimisationIn today’s dynamic digital landscape understanding the intricacies of data and insight in the customer journey is pivotal for sustainable growth. This course provides a strategic framework to understand how to evaluate the stages in the customer journey and identify a data-led approach to achieve seamless, personalised journeys cultivating customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy. The course will allow students to emerge equipped with a deeper comprehension of the customer journey and the methodologies necessary to cultivate meaningful connections with their audiences
Content StrategyContent marketing is fundamental for addressing important audience questions as well as building trust, developing relationships and improving conversions. This Specialist Award provides a strategic approach to content marketing that aligns to wider corporate and marketing goals. You will gain skills to enable the creation an effective content strategy and manage its implementation, including the provision of appropriate copy for a variety of audiences.

Entry Requirements

Diploma Level

You’ll need to have a minimum of two years’ experience working in the industry at an operational level or a relevant Level 4 qualification to study the Diploma in Professional Marketing. (E.g. Higher national certificate (HNC), level 4 NVQ, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business)

Work experience may be as Marketing Manager or Sales Manager/Rep. Typically, these people would be dealing with staff, budget and planning of campaign and other similar activities.

If English is not the first language, applicant will also need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications within the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. CIM will consider other equivalent alternatives.

FAQ

CIM is a globally recognised professional body for marketing. It is highly sought-after by employers because it tests the application of knowledge, meaning CIM graduates more equipped to be successful marketeers.  

CIM qualifications are designed by employers to ensure that they cover what employers are looking for in prospective employees. 

CIM carefully audits its accredited study centers to ensure quality. There are very few approved providers in the UAE, and MDX is one of them. 

CIM assessment are work-based assessments, typically reports, plans and audit and would typically be based on the organization you work for.

Assignment submission is carefully timed to CIM exam board dates.  If you feel you are not ready for the assignment, then you need to let us know as soon as possible so that we can support you with a different time frame and avoid any unnecessary CIM charges.

MDX offer an intensive weekend programme to fit around the busy working life of marketing professionals.  The weekends are designed to deliver as much content as possible to enable you to develop your understanding post-class.  Only 1 weekend per module is scheduled, and it is in your best interest to ensure you attend.  In addition, CIM require at least 75% attendance of face-to-face sessions.
Should you find that you are unable to attend a weekend session, please let MDX know as soon as possible. If you have already paid for the module, you will be transferred to the next sitting of that module with no extra charges from MDX.  However, there may be additional CIM costs.

MDX will provide you with pre-reading material to bring you up to speed prior to the module, as well as a study schedule to direct you to what should be read after the teaching weekend to help develop your understanding of the module.

Students are also able to have 1-on-1 time with tutors.

Students also receive one set of written feedback on their assignment to help improve their work prior to submission to CIM for marking.

In addition, as a CIM member you will have access to a huge range of support material for both your assessments and your career development. These include thousands of journals and trade press, thought leadership documents, podcasts, networking events, and online training.

The CIM teaching team is made up of individuals who have both industry and academic experience which is required by CIM. Matthew Brown, the Programme Director has worked extensively with CIM around the world and has written one of the module textbooks.
